Prime minister Dominique de Villepin has ordered tougher security measures to protect French citizens abroad from the threat of terrorism.

Prime minister Dominique de Villepin has ordered tougher security measures to protect French citizens abroad from the threat of terrorism.

Mr Villepin, speaking at a monthly news conference, said he also instituted measures to improve the “alert systems” for French nationals living or travelling abroad.
