Reconciliatory proposals on the cards at Korea talks

North Korea proposed a full resumption of humanitarian projects at the first high-level talks with South Korea in the wake of Pyongyang’s nuclear test.

The discussion appeared to herald renewed reconciliation between the Koreas after the North pledged to dismantle its atomic programme.
