Makeshift mine kills three US soldiers in Iraq

A roadside bomb blast killed three US soldiers south-west of Baghdad today, the military said.

The soldiers, assigned to a unit based in Baghdad, were killed by an improvised explosive device, a makeshift mine that is the deadliest killer of US soldiers in Iraq.
