Serbian President hails 'important' UN Court ruling
The Serbian president today hailed the World Court’s acquittal of Serbia on genocide charges, but warned of “dramatic consequences” if the court’s demand for the arrest of indicted war criminals is not carried out.
The International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, ruled that Serbia was not directly responsible for genocide in Bosnia during the 1990s war, but said it failed to prevent the 1995 Srebrenica massacre of some 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys carried out by Bosnian Serb troops.
