The United Nations’ highest court today exonerated Serbia of direct responsibility for genocide or complicity in genocide in Bosnia during the 1992-95 war.

However, in a lengthy ruling, the court has yet to pronounce its decision on whether Serbia had any responsibility for failing to prevent the massacre of Bosnian Muslims at the UN enclave of Srebrenica or punish the perpetrators.
