Nasa launches screening review after 'love-rival' plot

Nasa is reviewing its psychological screening process in the aftermath of allegations that a female astronaut plotted to kidnap and kill a love rival, it announced tonight.

In its first significant comments since Lisa Nowak was arrested on Monday, the space agency said she had been removed from flight status and called the situation “tragic”.
