Curfews were imposed as Nepal’s Cabinet held an emergency meeting today, forming a ministerial committee assigned to resolve violent protests that have left 14 people dead.

Three of the victims died yesterday when police fired on hundreds of protesters attacking government buildings in Inaruwa, a town about 190 miles south-east of the capital, Kathmandu.
