US calls international global warming report 'significant'

The head of the US delegation to a key global warming conference today called its new report “significant,” and “valuable” to policy makers.

Sharon Hays, associate director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy at the White House, welcomed the strong language of the report, which said global warming is “very likely” manmade.
