Suspected suicide blast near Islamabad luxury hotel

A suspected suicide attacker set off a bomb in Pakistan today near Islamabad’s Marriott Hotel, killing one person and wounding at least several others, police said.

Police cordoned off the scene of the blast, in the city’s central area near the Parliament building and the office of the president, police official Abdul Ghaffar said. The wounded were being taken to a hospital, he said.
