A Hamas militant died today of wounds sustained in fighting last week, medical officials said, the latest death in a wave of factional violence in the Gaza Strip.
The militant was wounded in a clash with a family linked to the rival Fatah movement last Friday.
He was taken to an Israeli hospital for treatment, where he died today, said Dr Moaiya Hassanain of the health ministry.
Gaza has been rocked by street battles, assassinations and kidnappings for over a month as Fatah and Hamas fight for control of the Palestinian government.
More than 30 people have died.
The groups have been locked in a vicious power struggle since the Islamist Hamas defeated the more moderate Fatah in parliamentary elections last year.
The clashes have included tit-for-tat kidnappings in recent days.
The latest incident came late last night when Fatah loyalists kidnapped five Hamas members at gunpoint in the northern Gaza Strip.
All five were released unharmed hours later.
