New Orleans considers curfew in bid to stem violence

Officials in the US city of New Orleans are considering a curfew to help stem violence after at least eight killings in the city in the first week of the New Year, a senior police chief said tonight.

“It’s something we’re just sort of talking about, to see if that will make a difference,” police Superintendent Warren Riley said.
