Fears for troops as execution looms
Families of British servicemen serving in Iraq expressed fears that troops would become the target of a backlash in the wake of Saddam Hussein’s execution.
Rose Gentle, whose 19-year-old son Gordon was killed in Iraq, said many relatives of soldiers in the war torn country were frightened there would be an upsurge of violence against coalition troops after Saddam’s death penalty is carried out.
