Roadside bomb kills five Afghan police

A roadside bomb exploded next to a police patrol in southern Afghanistan today, killing five policemen, an official said.

The bomb exploded about 10 miles north of Tirin Kot, the provincial capital of Uruzgan province, said Qayum Qayumi, the governor's spokesman.
