Nasa will today hold a meeting in Cape Canaveral, Florida, to decide whether to try to launch space shuttle Discovery overnight.

Strong winds kept the shuttle and its seven astronauts -including Nicholas Patrick, 42, originally from Saltburn in Teesside – grounded yesterday, after a Thursday launch was scrapped because of low clouds.
