A passenger train crashed into an auto-rickshaw at an unmanned railway crossing in southern India today, killing all 16 people in the rickshaw, a news report said.

The auto-rickshaw was crossing the track when the accident occurred near Kanchipuram in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.
