The Vatican today confirmed Pope Benedict XVI’s trip to Turkey that has been overshadowed by his remarks on Islam and violence, outlining for the first time the plans for the November 28-December 1 visit.

Benedict will travel to Ankara, Istanbul, Ephesus and Izmir during his first visit to a predominantly Muslim country.
