Massive explosion reported in north-west Sri Lanka

A massive explosion targeting a naval convoy was reported from north-west Sri Lanka today.

The explosion occurred near the town of Dambulla, said an official at the Media Centre for Sri Lankan National Security.

Casualty figures are not known.
