Rice in effort to revive stalled peace talks

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will meet Egypt’s president and eight Arab foreign ministers in Cairo on Tuesday in an effort to revive stalled Mideast peace talks, Egypt’s state news agency reported today.

Rice will meet foreign ministers from the six-nation Gulf Co-operation Council, as well as their counterparts from Egypt and Jordan, the agency said. The Palestinian issue would be at the top of the agenda, it said.
