Insurgent leader captured in Iraq

Iraqi security forces have arrested a leader of the 1920 Revolution Brigades, a group responsible for attacks and kidnappings, the prime minister’s office said today.

The leader along with seven aides were captured early yesterday in Kharnabat, a region just north of Baqouba, which is 35 miles north-east of Baghdad. The group is also known as the al-Ashreen Brigades.
