Seven killed in truck bomb attack in Baghdad
A suicide truck bomb crashed into a police headquarters building in Baghdad today, destroying the building and killing seven policemen, police said.
Another 14 people, including at least one civilian, were wounded in the attack in the southern Baghdad neighbourhood of Dora, said police Captain Jamil Hussein, adding the number of casualties was likely to increase.
In a separate incident, three more policemen were killed, including an officer, when a suicide bomber crashed into a police patrol in northern Baghdad, police Lt. Bilal Majid said.
Another 14 people were wounded in the attack in the Waziriya neighbourhood, including eight civilians, Majid said.
