Blair arrives in Israel for Middle East talks

British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in Israel tonight for talks on re-starting the Middle East peace process.

After the most wounding week of his premiership, which saw him promise to step down within a year, Mr Blair embarked on his latest diplomatic mission with No 10 stressing there would be no “grand announcement” of progress in the region.
