Nato soldiers killed in Afghan fighting

A number of Nato soldiers have been killed in fighting in southern Afghanistan, it was announced today.

Alliance forces had suffered casualties, including some fatalities, during Operation Medusa, which started on Saturday, said Nato spokesman Major Scott Lundy.
