Israeli troops kill two Palestinian militants
Israeli troops shot and killed two Palestinian militants early today in the Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank, Palestinian medics said.
The gunmen, local leaders of the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, were killed in an exchange of fire during an Israeli troop raid in the camp, the medics said. The Israeli army raids the city of Nablus, where the camp is located, almost nightly. The city is known as a hotbed of anti-Israeli activity.
