Eight people were killed today when two separate buildings collapsed in Egypt, police said.

A four-storey building collapsed in the eastern Cairo district of Saraya Al Qubba, killing five people and injuring several others. Thirteen people were pulled from the rubble and taken to a nearby hospital.
