11 suspected Taliban killed in Nato airstrike

A Nato airstrike killed 11 suspected Taliban militants hiding in a southern Afghan compound, an alliance spokesman said today.

The strike occurred in the Zhari district of southern Kandahar province late yesterday, said Nato spokesman Maj. Scott Lundy.
