Israeli president's home raided in sexual harassment probe

Israeli police raided the official residence of Israel’s president as part of a sexual harassment investigation, seizing computers and documents, police said today.

Police, who conducted the raid last night, said they planned to question President Moshe Katsav in the coming days.

At least two women have accused Katsav of harassing them. The president has denied wrongdoing.

Israeli presidents enjoy immunity from trial on charges related to their tenure in office, but are not immune from investigation, the Justice Ministry has said.
