44 killed in Iraq

At least 44 people were killed today in Iraq’s spiralling violence, including 20 soldiers whose bus was blasted by a roadside bomb.

Fourteen people were killed in a car bomb attack in an upscale Baghdad neighbourhood. Ten other people died elsewhere in the country.
