A Chinese farmer who received a partial face transplant after he was badly disfigured in a bear attack has been discharged from hospital.

Li Guoxing, 30, who underwent surgery in Xijing Hospital in the central Chinese city of Xi’an, thanked doctors and nurses and said he was “very happy to go home,” according to the official Xinhua News Agency.
