Suicide bomber kills three in Baghdad

A suicide car bomber today attacked a joint Iraqi police and army checkpoint in northeastern Baghdad, killing three officers who had been inspecting vehicles, police said.

Police Captain Ali al-Ubaidi said the attack occurred around 5pm local time in Baghdad’s northeastern Shaab neighbourhood.
