Israeli warplanes rocket Beirut
Two big explosions reverberated over Beirut early today, and missiles hit towns to the east and south of the capital in new overnight strikes.
The explosions appeared to be from hits in Beirut’s southern suburbs, a Hezbollah stronghold badly devastated since Israel launched its military blitz against Lebanon last week. There was no immediate word on what was hit or casualties.
