A bomb struck a Sunni mosque in Baghdad after prayers today, killing seven people and wounding five, while mortars barraged a Shiite mosque north of the capital, leaving five wounded.

A bomb struck a Sunni mosque in Baghdad after prayers today, killing seven people and wounding five, while mortars barraged a Shiite mosque north of the capital, leaving five wounded.

The attack against the Sunni mosque occurred about 2pm local time as worshippers were leaving after religious services in northern Baghdad, police Lt Mohammed Khayoun said. He said the bomb was planted near the door of the mosque.
