A Tu-134 plane carrying Russia’s naval chief crash-landed on Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula today, the Interfax news agency reported.

No one was killed but several naval officers suffered burns, the agency said.

It was not immediately known how many people were on board the plane carrying Admiral Vladimir Masorin, which rolled off a runway while landing at Simferopol airport, Interfax said.

One of its engines caught fire after the crash-landing.
