Three killed, 17 hurt, in Kirkuk suicide blast

A suicide car bomb hit a fuel station in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk today, killing at least three people and wounding 17.

Fifteen cars were burned in the explosion, said police Col. Adel Abdullah.

The blast came three days after a roadside bomb killed the chief of intelligence in Kirkuk, 180 miles north of Baghdad.

A series of explosions that killed at least 16 people also struck the oil-rich city earlier this month.
