Security alert closes Egypt-Gaza crossing again
The Gaza Strip’s main gateway to the outside world was closed again today due to an Israeli security alert in the area, European monitors at the crossing said.
Monitors at the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt were notified by Israeli officials last night that owing to continuing security concerns a different, nearby crossing used by the monitors to reach their posts at Rafah was sealed off.
