Abbas to hold first meeting with Olmert

Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas will meet Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert on the sidelines of an economic conference in Jordan this week, Palestinian officials said today.

The meeting would be the first between the two men since Olmert took office last month.
