Israel strikes Islamic militants

One Palestinian militant was killed and at least two others injured, one seriously, in a large explosion that destroyed a vehicle in the Gaza Strip late this evening, Palestinian medics and witnesses said.

The army said the explosion was a result of an Israeli airstrike against a vehicle in the northern Gaza Strip carrying a cell from the Islamic Jihad Palestinian militant group, wanted by Israel for firing home-made rockets from the Gaza Strip.
