Hamas 'ready for ceasefire'

The spokesman for the Hamas-led Palestinian government Ghazi Hamad today said the Islamic group was prepared to restore a ceasefire with Israel.

The announcement came several days after Hamas called off the truce to protest against a deadly explosion on a Gaza beach.
