Istanbul blast causes injuries

An explosion near a bus terminal in Istanbul has caused several injuries, according to the state-run Anatolia news agency in Turkey.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.

Militant Kurdish, leftist and Islamic groups have carried out attacks in the city in the past.
