At least five killed, 14 wounded, in Mosul bomb blast
A parked car packed with explosives hit a police patrol in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul today, killing at least five policemen and wounding 14.
The blast, which struck the patrol in the Dawasa neighbourhood of Mosul, 225 miles north-west of Baghdad, heavily damaged cars and stores in the area, police Col. Abdulkarim Ahmed said.
The wounded were taken to the al-Jumhuri teaching hospital.
