Iran: We have conducted research on nuclear fusion

Iran has conducted research into nuclear fusion, an Iranian nuclear official said today as the country signalled its determination to proceed with its nuclear programme despite the gathering international opposition.

“Iranian nuclear scientists are competing with the advanced world in the field of producing nuclear energy through fusion,” the official, Sadat Hosseini, was reported as saying by state television.
