Two more immigrant boats with 155 Africans arrived on shores of the Canary Islands, raising the number of detained to more than 400 in two days.

One boat carrying 98 immigrants was intercepted today near the Canary Island of El Hierro while another one with 57 on board, including two children, was met by maritime authorities on Tenerife, said Beatiz Cuarental, spokeswoman of the emergency service of the Canary Islands.
