Bulgaria and Romania to be urged to speed up reform

The European Union executive will today tell Bulgaria and Romania to speed up reform ahead of their planned entry into the European Union.

Bulgaria must step up its fight against corruption and organised crime, as serious concerns remain about the effectiveness of its efforts in the field, according to a draft report by the European Commission in Strasbourg.
