Suspected Mladic aide held
Police have arrested another alleged aide of Ratko Mladic in a continuing hunt for the elusive Bosnian Serb sought for genocide, Belgrade’s independent B92 radio reported today.
Police declined to immediately confirm the arrest and the report did not reveal his identity except to say he was a retired military officer of the former Yugoslavia.
If confirmed, it would be the 11th arrest this year of alleged Mladic aides, as the authorities try to tighten the noose around the fugitive indicted more than a decade ago by the UN war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
