A man accused of setting fire to a Chinese primary school, killing three children and wounding others, was captured today after a day-long manhunt.

Bai Ningyang was caught late afternoon local time, said Qu Xiaosheng, a police spokesman in Gongyi, a city in the central province of Henan. Qu wouldn’t give any other details.

Bai, 19, is accused of setting fire to two cans of petrol yesterday in a primary school in Gongyi.

Local authorities said 13 people were wounded in addition to the three children killed.
