Troops hit by Afghan bomb

A bomb exploded near a convoy of Canadian troops travelling along a highway in southern Afghanistan today, slightly injuring two soldiers and destroying their vehicle.

The bomb was planted west of Kandahar in the district of Maiwand on the road leading to the western city of Herat.
