Activists press Nepal's parliament on new constitution
Nepal’s Parliament reconvened today for the first time in four years, after weeks of often-bloody protests forced the king to give up absolute power and return the country to democratic rule.
Girija Prasad Koirala, the ailing 84-year-old veteran politician named as prime minister, was not present as politicians met in the ornate meeting hall in the heart of Kathmandu.
