No evidence to link Reid to Moussaoui

The US government today conceded it had no evidence that British would-be shoe bomber Richard Reid was to have conducted a terror hijacking with Zacarias Moussaoui, as Moussaoui has claimed.

The defence introduced a statement, agreed by government prosecutors, that was presented to the jury in Alexandria, Virginia, considering whether Moussaoui should be executed or imprisoned for life.
