Distraught fans go on rampage during Kumar funeral

Distraught fans smashed cars, burned buses and battled with police today in the streets of Bangalore, angry they had been unable to view the body of south Indian film icon Raj Kumar.

Angry fans knocked down police barricades as they tried to storm a stadium in the southern Indian city.

The 77-year-old actor’s body was on view in the stadium for people to pay their respects.
