Kenyan military plane crashes with four MPs on board
A Kenyan military plane carrying four members of parliament and a provincial commissioner crashed in northern Kenya today.
Several people were seriously hurt, a civil servant at the scene said. There were no immediate reports of deaths.
The leaders were to attend a meeting in Marsabit, 280 miles north-east of Nairobi, when their military plane crashed while landing.
The senior civil servant saw the provincial commissioner with a leg injury and said that one of the pilots lost both of his legs in the crash.
The official said he did not have any immediate information about the fate of the politicians.
