Dozens fearded dead after bus plunges into Kashmir river
Dozens are feared dead today after a bus skidded off a narrow mountain road and plunged into a river in a remote region of Indian Kashmir.
The bus was believed to be carrying at least 70 passengers when the accident occurred near the village of Sashoo, about 130 miles north-east of Jammu, the winter capital of India’s part of Kashmir, said police officer PR Manhas.
He said one body and three survivors had been pulled from the fast flowing waters of the Chenab River.
